How to: Create a style.
Solution:
Use the 'Style' command in the 'Format' menu to create a style.
1) Select the 'Format menu and select 'Style...'. (The Style dialog box appears.)
2) Click 'New...'.
3) Specify one or more basic attributes of the style:
a) Enter the style name in the 'Name' box.

b) (Optional) Select the style type from the 'Style Type' drop-down list box.
c) (Optional) Select the style on which the new style is based from the 'Based On' drop-down list box.
d) (Optional) Select the style to be applied to the next paragraph from the 'Style for Following Paragraph' drop-down list box.
4) (Optional) Click 'Format' and do one or more of the following:
a) Select 'Font...' to set specific character format options. (The Font dialog box appears.)
1] Click the 'Font' tab and do one or more of the following:
a] Select the desired font from the 'Font' list box.
b] Select the desired font style from the 'Font Style' list box.
c] Select the desired font size from the 'Size' list box.
d] Select additional font attributes as desired.
2] Click the 'Character Spacing' tab.
a] Select the desired horizontal spacing from the 'Spacing' drop-down list box.
b] Select additional spacing attributes as desired.
3] Click 'OK'. (The New Style dialog box appears.)
b) Select 'Paragraph...' from the 'Format' drop-down list box to set specific paragraph format options. (The Paragraph dialog box appears.)
1] Click the 'Indents and Spacing' tab to set indent and spacing attributes for the style.
2] Click the 'Text Flow' tab to set text flow attributes for the style.
3] Click 'OK'.
5) Click 'OK'.
6) Do one of the following:
a) Click 'Close' to complete the style definition and return to the document. (The new style is available from the 'Style' drop-down list box on the Formatting toolbar.)
b) Click 'Apply' to apply the new style definition to the current selection (if any) and return to the document.
